dr hab. Monika Skorek, prof. UW
PhD, Associate Professor
Graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. I defended my doctoral thesis in 2004, titled 'Distributor Brands in the Contemporary Market.’
I have been associated with the Faculty of Management since 1998. During this time, I have been conducting classes in bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate studies. Thematically, I am connected with marketing, brand management, marketing research, merchandising, and category management in trade. I have participated in scientific scholarships, including a scholarship organized by Harvard Business School in 2007, a scholarship organized by the University of Konstanz in 2002, and a scholarship organized by the Polish-German Foundation GFPS in Hamburg in 1995. Thanks to this, I seamlessly combine case methods with marketing theory in working with students, carry out joint research projects, and conduct discussion seminars. In addition to teaching, I am actively involved in research and am a participant in a grant funded by the National Science Center.
Besides teaching, I am actively involved in the business sector. For several years, I have been the head of postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Management at UW in Pharmaceutical Product Marketing, and for 4 years, I served as the Head of Master’s Studies in Management and Master’s Studies in Accounting, Finance, and Insurance.
I was the Proxy of the Management for Operational Affairs at CF Cefarm SA, and also the substantive editor at Wiedza i Praktyka publishing house. I am actively involved in consultancy and training in many companies in the Polish market. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book, cycling, and going on distant journeys with my family.
