Grzegorz Karasiewicz is the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Quality of Education (in the term 2016-2019) and the Head of the Marketing Department at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw (1988) and Harvard Business School – PMD program (1995). In 1994, he defended his doctoral thesis on 'Price Strategies in a Market Economy,’ and in 2001, he obtained the postdoctoral degree. In 2014, he was awarded the title of Professor in Economic Sciences. Currently, his research interests focus on the following thematic areas: internationalization strategies of Polish companies (with a focus on the specificity of small and medium-sized enterprises), pricing strategies of companies, structural changes in Polish trade during the economic transformation, budgeting of marketing activities (including sales) in a company, and assessing the effects of marketing (sales) decisions. He has extensive experience in conducting training and consulting work for the business practice, including companies such as ABB, Armatura Głuchołazy, Bayer, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Dar Natury, Fresenius-Kabi, Haft Kalisz, Herbapol Lublin, Hortex, Nałęczowianka, Pekao S.A., PKN Orlen, Polisa, PKO BP, PZU S.A., Renault Polska, Ruch S.A., Solvey, and Zakłady Mięsne Nowak.
